Entrepreneurship Cell
As per CCFUP-NEP 2020 regulation of Vidyasagar University, Government General Degree College, Salboni, introduces a 4-Credit course in the second year of study, specifically during the 4th Semester in Internship, Apprenticeship, and Entrepreneurship. This component of the curriculum requires students to complete a minimum of 120 hours of practical experience across various fields, including local bodies, industries, NGOs, business organizations, health sectors, rural entrepreneurship, media, and the arts. Under the supervision of a designated faculty member acting as the Internship/Apprenticeship/Entrepreneurship Coordinator, students will gain hands-on experience and valuable industry insights. Upon completion, students must submit a detailed report of their work along with a certificate from the supervising authority. Their performance will be assessed by an external examiner appointed by the University, based on the report and a subsequent viva-voce. To facilitate these opportunities, the college will establish an Internship/Apprenticeship/Entrepreneurship Cell to maintain strong connections with relevant organizations and support students in securing and completing their practical engagements. This approach not only enhances academic learning through real-world applications but also prepares students for their future careers by equipping them with practical skills and professional experiences.
