Grievance Redressal Policy
Government General Degree College Salboni has formed a statutory body namely Students Discipline, Grievance Redressal and Anti Ragging sub-committee with an objective toprovide the students of the college a friendly environment for learning and personal development. It aims to promote a positive and supportive learning environment by resolving conflicts, addressing issues promptly, and upholding the rights and interests of students. At orientation, the students are made aware of this redressal system so that, should the need arise, they can lodge their grievances in offline mode and put it in the appropriate drop boxes or they can send their grievances through email/google form provided in the college website. Individual privacy and confidentiality, early resolution and fairness are all encouraged by the compassionate, equitable, and effective handling of grievances.
Grievance Redressal Mechanism
A grievance redressal mechanism is established in addition to other welfare measures to encourage students to voice individual and group complaints about both academic and non-academic issues. The following steps are followed in the mechanism of redressal of grievances:
1. Submission of Grievance: Students submit their grievances in writing (off-line, grievance drop-box) or through google form/email (online) provided by the college. The grievance should include details such as the nature of the issue, relevant facts, and supporting evidence (if any).
2. Investigation and Review: The Grievance Redressal sub-committee of the college investigates the grievance thoroughly, gathering relevant information and consulting with involved parties, if necessary. This step may involve reviewing policies, conducting meetings, or examining documentation related to the grievance.
3. Resolution: Based on the findings of the investigation, the Grievance Redressal sub-committee works to resolve the issue in a fair and impartial manner.
4. Follow-up: After the resolution, the cell may follow up with the complainant to ensure that the issue has been effectively addressed.
5. Documentation and Reporting: The Grievance Redressal sub-committee maintains records of all grievances received, actions taken, and outcomes achieved.
