SC, ST, OBC and Minority Cell (Equal Opportunity Cell)
SC, ST, and minority cell is constituted at Government General Degree College Salboni to foster an environment of equity, diversity, and inclusion, thereby contributing to the holistic development of all students. The cell provides a platform for students belonging to these communities to voice their concerns, address grievances, and seek assistance in matters such as discrimination, harassment, or any other challenges they may face. The cell organizes awareness campaigns and seminars to educate the college community about issues related to caste, tribe, and minority status, promoting a more inclusive and understanding environment. The cell is also engaged to provide skill development programs, career counselling and other opportunities aimed at enhancing the socio-economic well-being of students from marginalized backgrounds. SC, ST, and minority cell of the college advocate for policies and initiatives within the college administration and at a broader level to address systemic inequalities and promote social justice.
